Brihadeeshwara Temple

The Brihadiswara Temple, also known as the Big Temple, stands as a testament to the grandeur of Chola architecture. Built in the 11th century by Raja Raja Chola I, this temple is renowned for its massive scale, stunning carvings, and the central deity Lord Shiva, accompanied by his sacred mount, Nandi. The temple complex also houses a shrine for the goddess Amman and features over 80 detailed depictions of Bharatanatyam dance poses, showcasing Tamil cultural artistry.
